SQL-query (content-type field) in edit UI

Hi, is it possible to use SQL-queries on some of the field-types in content-type? We need an list/dropdown of DNN-roles from the SQL.
We are making an tutorial-site, and the users are gonna see content/tutorials based on the role(s) they are in. So when we add new content/tutorials, we want to choose role(s) from a dropdown-menu.

I know i can use a regular string-field to write the role-name manually, but its easier if i had an dropdown-list with roles ;)

If there is an another solution to this, please tell me :)

No, ATM there is no feature for this.
I believe that this will be lower priority for another while, so I guess you'll have to do the manual way.
What could help - if you need this a lot - is to create a page with the roles, and from the role-name, create a link opening a "new entity" dialog which would then be prefilled with this role name. If you want to try this, look up the prefill stuff in the documentation. It's still beta, so the syntax is a bit complex. in the future it will be simplified.

Hi, thanks for the quick reply!
Okei. we use the manually solution for now, but thanks for the prefill-tips :)
